Subject: Sealing Time Ministries Newsletter - A Year of Miracles, Time for Moving/Expansion & Your Prayers and Support Are Needed
Date: March 31st 2010

Hi friends,

2009 was truly a year of wonderful miracles for Sealing Time Ministries.  We would like to share with you some of the amazing things that God helped us accomplish this year.  We started the year with one camera and simple video recording software and ended the year with three cameras (one HD) and professional video mixing and broadcast equipment, airing programs on local digital television!
We are also going to be moving in June and will be needing your support to purchase a facility so that we can produce more high quality programming.  Please read to the bottom for more information.

January

In January 2009 we finished up and released a new "Prophecy Seminar" series of 11 meetings by Pastor Tim Roosenberg from the Eagle Adventist Church.

March

On March 13th our Multimedia Production Services department officially opened.  We shared this exciting news with our local conference and pastors with a brief presentation at a pastoral meeting.  We want to say a big thank you to President Steve McPherson and Vice-President Don Klinger of the Idaho Conference for allowing us to share this with the pastors, your support of the lay people and providing wonderful opportunities for us to serve.

The goal of the new Multimedia Production Services department is to share the gospel message to all the world with a concentration on a large scale multimedia approach.  We work with churches, conferences, and other supporting organizations to produce quality DVDs, CDs and internet streaming.  We offer our multimedia production services for evangelistic and church events as well as church related training seminars.

May

In May we began working with Pastor Randy Maxwell from the Kuna Adventist Church to produce a new evangelistic series of 4 meetings titled "NO FEAR!"  Video was broadcast live via the internet and viewers made comments about this series as far away as South Africa!

May also marked the purchase of our first professional 1080 high definition camera.  This new camera has been a wonderful improvement to the quality of the videos.  About this same time we were able to find another good quality "prosumer" standard definition camera at a local pawn shop for $50 because it was missing the power supply.  We were able to find another power supply on e-bay for $10 and it was up and running.  This brought our total number of cameras up to three.  Having three cameras was going to be essential for our next several productions so the timing of these camera purchases could not have been more providential.

June

The beginning of June marked our first three camera production, an evangelistic series titled "The Greatest Thing in the World" presented by Dr. Ron E. M. Clouzet.  The focus of the 7 part series was the "nature of love and the miracle of change."  This series was also the beginning of several series in this area presented by Dr. Clouzet this year.  Just prior to the beginning of this series we were able to purchase a new set of three matching tripods with professional fluid filled heads for more camera stability and ease of operation for our camera operators.  Thanks again to all our supporters, you make these things possible!

During the rest of June we were very busy with the media production and live streaming for the 2009 Idaho Camp Meeting.  The theme of the 2009 Idaho Camp Meeting was "Help Wanted, Jesus is Coming!"  There were a total of 8 speakers presenting 8 series on various subjects.  Featured speakers included Lonnie Melashenko, Karl Haffner, Max Torkelsen II and Randy Maxwell.  Video was also broadcast live via the internet.  There were live viewers via the internet from as far away as New Zealand.

July - NewTek VT4 video system purchased - 24 camera capability

Realizing that we were rapidly outgrowing our first generation, software only based video switching system, we decided that it was time to upgrade.  We had been doing the research on some unique hardware/software video switching technology from a company called NewTek.  While we were doing the research and sharing what we found with some friends, we got an email from a friend we made at the Collegedale Community Church in Tennessee.  They informed us that Lifetalk Radio in Collegedale was looking to sell the exact equipment we were looking for.  Just prior to us finding out about this high quality equipment for sale we received several donations from seemingly out of the blue.  God already knew our needs and was way ahead of us, but it wasn't going to be easy.  Sealing Time Ministries is a family based ministry and all improvements are directly attributable to the generosity of God's people.  Bear in mind that at this point of time the ministry account only had about $1,000 available in the Bank, and we happened to have about the same in our personal account.  After accounting for all our resources we called Lifetalk Radio.  We were informed that they were indeed selling the NewTek VT video system that we had been researching.  There was only one problem, they were asking $3,000, a very reasonable price.  However, even with all our resources combined we did not have enough.  Realizing God's amazing timing and providence we were determined not to be put off by a lack of resources.  The amazing thing about faith is that it's only truly demonstrated once you have put everything on the line.  Combined with prayer this type of faith moves the hand of God.  After deciding to put it all on the line for God we called back to make on offer.  We offered everything we had, about $2,200.  They said they had to get the $3,000.  So we decided to exercise our faith further.  We explained to them that our current equipment was not adequate for what we were doing and we had a large event coming up with Northwest Religious Liberties that we needed the equipment for.  Putting it all on the line and then some we asked if they would consider shipping us the equipment for the $2,200 down with payment to be made for the rest after the NRLA Prophecy Festival.  Bear in mind we had no idea what we would make in DVD and CD sales.  This was entirely in God's hands now.  We gave Pres. Steve Gallimore a reference to check with about our integrity, Idaho Conference President, Steve McPherson.  After they talked Steve Gallimore called us back and it was a deal!  With only one day before the NRLA Prophecy Festival, God provided the much needed, upgraded equipment at the right time.  Without even enough time to ship the equipment to our home office, Lifetalk Radio shipped the equipment via overnight to the location at Laurelwood Academy!

I have to stop here to say a huge thank you to God, then to President Steve Gallimore and his wife of Lifetalk Radio, President of the Idaho Conference Elder Steve McPherson who had to be reached at Cowboy Camp Meeting, our friends at Collegedale Community Church , and all our financial and prayer supporters who made this mighty miracle possible!  The NewTek VT system is a professional, full broadcast spec, multiple camera (up to 24) video switching system.  This system was already a miracle and it had not yet even been put to work.  But throughout the rest of the year this system has been the source of more and more continual miracles as you will see.

July - 2009 NRLA Prophecy Festival - 6 speakers/series

As we arrived at the beautiful campus of Laurelwood Academy in Oregon we were anxiously expecting the overnight arrival of the new VT system.  The new system arrived on time (some would count this as another miracle) and as I stared at the 3 inch thick manual with 4 hours left before production time I knew that we were going to need another miracle.  Computers, hardware and software can be a very finicky thing, especially when you have a deadline.  After a couple phone calls to our friends at Lifetalk Radio amazingly everything installed and worked perfectly!  It took some getting used to and I was quite overwhelmed with so many controls but we made it through and produced our most professional series of videos to date.

The 2009 Northwest Religious Liberty Association (NRLA), Prophecy Festival was held at Laurelwood Academy in Jasper, Oregon and was quite a success.  There were over 300 in attendance and the topics were excellent.  Featured speakers were Ed Reid Esq., Alan Reinach Esq., Dr. Herbert Douglass, Jay Sloop M.D., and Pastors Greg Hamilton and Tim Roosenberg.

Miracle Update.  We sold enough DVD's and CD's to not only completely pay for the rest of our new video system but to make some other needed upgrades and maintenance as well!

We want to stop here and say a hearty thank you to Pastor Tim Roosenberg for recommending us to NRLA President Greg Hamilton, and also a big thank you to Greg Hamilton and secretary Rhonda Bolton for inviting us and taking care of our accommodations and needs while we were visiting.  The campus was beautiful, and food was great, and warm showers and beds were wonderful.  Also a special thank you to our camera operators on this adventure, my wife Kelly, my Dad Patrick and my Uncle Calvin.  These guys ran the cameras from early morning until late at night! Also a big thank you to my Aunt Mary for helping to watch our daughter Jordan during the meetings so we could concentrate on the production.

August - Amazing Discoveries In Lost Cities of the Dead - Dr. Ron Clouzet & Dr. Michael Hasel

In August we worked with the Idaho Conference, Dr. Ron E. M. Clouzet and Dr. Michael Hasel to record and broadcast an excellent archeology series of programs titled "Amazing Discoveries, In Lost Cities of the Dead."  There were many people in attendance both locally and via the live stream on the internet.

September/October - First time broadcasting two simultaneous series

September 11 through October 17 we worked with the Idaho Conference, the North American Division Evangelism Institute (NADEI) with Dr. Ron E. M. Clouzet to record, produce and live stream a full evangelistic series of meetings titled "Unsealing Revelation's Mysteries."  This series of 31 meetings covered many topics and there were many baptisms throughout the meetings.  Using our new video system and technology we were able to not only utilize the local church facility and internet streams, but there were also 4 satellite locations at other local Adventist churches that also had groups attending remotely.  It was exciting to know that there were groups of people all over the valley as well as others around the world all watching the meetings live and sharing the archives with their friends.

September 11 through 19 we also teamed up with Mountain Top Ministries to record, stream and produce Pastor Lee Venden's latest revival series titled, "All About Jesus."  Meeting topics were excellent and many recommitted their lives to Christ.  This series also marked the first time that we were able to stream two live broadcasts from two locations simultaneously!  Even though our original generation one video mixing system does not have the capabilities of our new system we have continued to leverage it's abilities and have it in use to record and broadcast live weekly sermons at Middleton Adventist Church.  This has helped to enable shut-in, or sick church members and even visitors to drop in and attend virtually and feel right at home when they could not be there in person.

Using the funds earned from the NADEI series and from the media sales we upgraded the software for our NewTek video system to VT.  This new update enabled many new features including the new chroma-key (green screen) virtual set technology.  This new technology allows us to purchase or create elaborate virtual sets that we would otherwise never be able to afford.  These sets feature amazing virtual lighting, reflections and shadows, as well as large virtual "plasma" style screens that help display video, photos or slides.  This technology is used and can be seen on a daily basis on many programs created and aired by 3ABN.

October - December - Community Conversations Online - Pr. Randy Maxwell

During the months of October through December we teamed up with Pastor Randy Maxwell of the Kuna Adventist Church for a series of monthly meetings titled "Community Conversations Online."  Community Conversations Online was an interactive program that took on some very challenging topics.  The interactive nature of combining live streaming and chat rooms proved to be a challenge but was very rewarding with attendees both locally and online stating that these were some of the most helpful meetings to their spiritual lives they had ever attended.

In November we were able to purchase our first 20'x10' chroma-key green screen for use with our new virtual set and backdrop technology upgrade.  We still needed proper lighting, but with a limited budget sometimes you have to upgrade things one at a time.

December/January - Started airing Community Conversations LIVE
with Pr. Randy Maxwell on local digital television

In late December we switched to the Community Conversations LIVE format programs.  These programs brought visitors each Sabbath morning and by the end of the meetings it was reported that church attendance had nearly doubled!

Just prior to beginning the Community Conversations LIVE programs we got word that we might be able to air the programs on local secular television!  Amazingly through the generosity of many people the programs were all aired on local digital television KKJB channel 39.3.  KKJB is the only full power independent television station in Idaho and has a very large footprint of 11 counties.

As I think back over all the things that God brought about through just one year I am simply amazed.  We started the year with one camera and simple video recording software and ended the year with three cameras (one HD) and professional video mixing and broadcast equipment airing programs on local digital television!  Not to mention the new and upcoming chroma-key green screen and virtual set technology.  What hath God wrought?

Again we want to say thanks.  First we have to say thanks to God, because "with God all things are possible." -Matthew 19:26 NKJV  Next we want to thank all our supporters.  Your prayers and financial gifts are what made many of these upgrades and events possible.  We could not have done it without your generosity and spirit of teamwork.  I can't tell you how many times a donation has come in the mail or online and it arrived at the perfect time to make a much needed upgrade or to get a piece of new equipment that allowed us to improved our quality while reaching many more souls for Christ.  We also want to thank our monthly supporters.  Monthly support is important as it allows us to count on making sure the bills are paid and things happen on time.  Many times this has been what has seen us through tight financial spots.  Next we would like to thank all our camera operators.  My Dad and uncle Calvin have worked tirelessly to help record and stream many of these events over the last year and we would like to recognize their hard work.  We would also like to thank our many stand in volunteer camera operators at the many events over the last year.  The spirit of willingness and teamwork has made many of these events possible.  We could not have done it without you!  We also want to thank the Idaho Conference, the North Pacific Union Conference, Northwest Religious Liberty Association and the North American Division Evangelism Institute for allowing us to serve our church through media production.  When the lay people and the leadership work together a mighty work will be accomplished.

Time for Moving/Expansion & Your Prayers and Support Are Needed

With all of these amazing miracles, there has come another very real need.  The production and ministry equipment has taken over our current 800 square foot home/office and it has become necessary to move/expand.  Because of this and because the current owners need the facility for another purpose, we must locate and move to a new facility by June 1st.  This means that we currently have two months to raise funds, find another facility and move.
With all the upgrades in technology the Lord has brought to us in the last year we have been impressed to purchase/build a facility that will not only serve as a home/office but we now are also in need of a building on site to serve as a studio for on site productions as well.  The ideal facility would be a 3-4 bedroom older farm house with a larger pole barn on 1-2 acres outside of the city (in the Boise/Treasure Valley area), but still close enough for high speed internet.  With the current economy and housing market we have seen many possibilities in this area and we are excited about moving forward with the Lord.

Your support is needed in the following areas:

  • Prayer
  • Donations (any size of one time or recurring monthly donations or a property donation)
    • We currently do not have the funds available to even move, so your support in this area is very important so we can continue producing quality programs.
  • Purchase one or more products (You can also purchase a product and make a donation through the online store at the same time.)

Here is a short report of the Lords accomplishments through this ministry during the last year.

  • 22 video/audio production series
    • Average series production: 1 new evangelistic/revival/prophecy series every 2.4 weeks!
    • Average new product release: 1 new media product every 6 days!
  • Served 17 speakers at 9 special events.
  • Served 46,885 unique internet visitors
  • Served 160 countries

Exciting upcoming events on our events calendar:

  • April - Health Lectures by Dr. Clarence Ing (Weimar Institute) - Middleton Adventist Church
  • June - 2010 Idaho Camp Meeting
  • July - 2010 Redwood Area Camp Meeting (pending final confirmation)
  • September - Evangelistic Training Seminar at Gem State Academy
  • July - 2011 NRLA Prophecy Festival
  • We also have many more new programs planned including our new "Sealing Time Insights" programs, but because of the size of our current facility we have been unable to produce them effectively.

We do not normally solicit donations but in this case we ask you to consider partnering with us to do a much greater work.  Thank you in advance for whatever you can do for God's cause.
