Hi friends,

    One year ago we were blessed with an exciting internet evangelism project from the Lord, The Great Controversy Online Project.  The idea came in a dream, and was basically to take the last chapters of the book, The Great Controversy and post each chapter as a separate internet domain name.  We were really surprised because the project was so very simple. Which brings the following Ellen White quote to mind. "God will use ways and means by which it will be seen that He is taking the reins in His own hands. The workers will be surprised by the simple means that He will use to bring about and perfect His work of righteousness." {TM 299.2} 

    As things began to take shape we were amazed as again the Lord pulled all the funds needed to get the project started in just a few short weeks.  We want to sincerely thank the Lord for impressing those of you who elected to sponsor several or more chapter/domains.  You will see through the rest of this letter that the offering you gave to the Lord is doing His great work.  After the initial uploads, we have been watching the website statistics to see what the Lord would do, and as each month passed we were amazed to watch the numbers grow and grow, with almost every month surpassing the month before.  See the graph to the right for more details.  The large green (bandwidth) bar back in January of 2007 was from our initial uploads and setup of all the domains, as well as some technical issues that had to be resolved.  The technical issues being the reason for so much bandwidth use.  It must be noted, that our own ministry website statistics are mixed into these numbers, and this is just simply because we host all the files from both our ministry and these projects on one hosting server to save money.  However, you will see as we go through more of the statistics that the Great Controversy Online project is responsible for the majority of the traffic.

    Internet evangelism has the potential to reach millions who might not be reached by traditional means. Concerning the future of the book the Great Controversy, Ellen White stated:  "I was shown . . . that the warning must go where the living messenger could not go, and that it would call the attention of many to the important events to occur in the closing scenes of this world's history.”  {3SM 413.3}  The Great Controversy Online project seeks to to just that, to "go where the living messenger could not go."

    For those of you who are not familiar with this project you can learn more about it by clicking here. But here is a summary of the basic goals.

    The Great Controversy Online project consists of the following goals:

1. (Completed) All chapters of the Great Controversy available online, most directly by their chapter titles, with a special emphasis on the final chapters.  For example, the title of Chapter 23 is "What is the Sanctuary?", is now available on the internet as www.WhatistheSanctuary.com (.org., .net, & .info)  This is designed to specifically target the interest of those searching on the internet for specific topics.

2. (Completed) Link all Bible references in the Great Controversy to an online KJV Bible.

3. (Completed) List all the chapter/domains at the various major search engines.

4. Illustration of most chapters of the Great Controversy (Chapters 1 & 23 have been illustrated as examples.)

5. All chapters available in audio form and freely downloadable for all. (25% complete but not available yet.)

6. Physical copies of the Great Controversy available for sale or possibly free directly from the websites. (Free, based on available donations.)

    In the interest of our readers time we will list the rest of the statistics further below.  This project has been amazing to watch grow and take off.  We have made it a point to follow the Lord's impressions as things have grown, and the results are well, from the Lord.  All credit for this project is given to Him.  We believe that through this project the Lord has given a great avenue with which to reach many of today's internet savvy generation.  This project has been faith based from the beginning, and by faith we are continuing to support it as we can.  The associated costs are about $1,350 per year, and this is the time of year that the domain charges are coming due.

    As the Lord impresses you, we would like to extend the opportunity to those of you who haven't had a chance yet to support this project.  The Lord is looking for people who will step out in faith and work with Him in finishing this great work of giving a dying world its final warning.  This mainstream internet evangelism project is currently approximately 1/2 of the way funded for this year, but the door is still open for anyone who would like to assist in this great work.  In Ellen White's first vision she made this statement as she saw those in heaven: "Some crowns appeared heavy with stars, while others had but few." {EW 16.2}  The results on peoples lives from this project very likely will not be seen this side of heaven, but how would it make you feel to have someone approach you in heaven and give you a big hug and say, "It was because of your donation to that simple internet evangelism project, that I happened upon one day, that I am here."  Are you aiming for a crown with heavy stars?

    "... let us aim, in the strength of Jesus, for the crown heavy with stars. "They that be wise shall shine as the firmament, and they that win many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever. {RH, October 25, 1881 par. 12}

    One other item to note:  The domains for this project can be purchased up to 10 years into the future!  No only does renewing any of the domains over 5 years generate a reasonable discount, but this is also an excellent opportunity to secure this evangelism project as the economy of this nation becomes more and more insecure.  Any donations that exceed the amount needed for this year will be applied to subsequent years!

Now for more statistics...

    This graph below shows all of the internet search engines that were currently active in indexing these websites during the month of December, 2007.  The numbers shown here are not visitors, but are generated by the number of visits from the search engines only.  You can see that we have a fairly good representation across the web, and with the Lord's continued blessing it will grow even more.

    The next graph below shows which internet search engines are doing the best at referring people (for December), and it also shows where visitors are going to from other websites that are not search engines.  As you can see Google and Yahoo are both bringing in fair numbers of visitors.  It can also be seen that the first chapter of the Great Controversy is becoming very popular with other websites (besides search engines) and is bringing in many visitors to read more of the GC.  It can also be noted that many of the other chapter/domains are also busy, and only a few of our other ministry domains even make the top 10 lists. 

    This next graph simply shows a cross section of some results of the top 10 searches made at search engines (December), that brought people to visit.  Again you can see that the GC chapter interests top the charts.  Remember that this list is only the top 10 results, and there are many, many more.  As you can see over 100 unique search phrases for December alone.  These results in this graph are only what can be seen by our statistics program so the real search key phrases/words are likely more diverse and much higher.

    Now here are some exciting search engine results.  Yahoo seems to be doing the best at directing visitors to these domains, so these are the search results we are sharing here.

    You can see that simply typing in, the destruction of Jerusalem, (without needing quotes) brings a visitor front and center with the Great Controversy Online project.  Out of 35,700,000 results, this website, posted as the Lord directed, shows up as the number one result!  Amen!

    You can see similar results with the chapter/domain, Origin of Evil.  The Destruction of Jerusalem, and Origin of Evil have been almost consistently the busiest of the Great Controversy websites.

Similar results for Spiritualism Revealed.

    While technically not a chapter of the Great Controversy, we were impressed to take chapters 4-14 of the Great Controversy and post them under the domain titled "The Great Reformation."  This domain too is seeing a fair amount of traffic.  And remember, every single visitor is reading the Great Controversy!

    The Investigative Judgment is a very distinctive Seventh-Day Adventist doctrine, and this chapter/domain brings visitors face to face with the fact the Jesus is investigating each person's life prior to His second coming.  You can see the chapter rates number 3 out of over 11 million possible websites.

    The question; What is the Sanctuary? is chapter 23 of the Great Controversy, and while there are many who are studying out the Sanctuary doctrine now, there will be a GREAT deal more who will be amazed at this wonderful discovery as the closing scenes of this world's history begin and during the small time of trouble many will take their stand for Christ.  Yahoo currently ranks this chapter/domain number 4 out of more than 220 MILLION possible results!  This website is also seeing a fair amount of visitors.  Can  you see the Lord's hand moving?
